About Our Mayor

Mayor Marilyn Hatley is enjoying her third term as Mayor of the City of North Myrtle Beach. A graduate of the Beaux’s Art College of Cosmetology, she is a certified cosmetology teacher and, for more than 30 years, the Owner of Visible Designs, Inc. Mayor Hatley also attended the University of South Carolina and received a Teacher’s Methods Certificate. She also studied classical piano for 10 years, competing on local, state and national levels. Mayor Hatley serves as chairperson of the Horry County League of Cities. She is a founder and director of Coastal Carolina National Bank. Mayor Hatley has been actively involved for many years in community service through her work in the North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club and numerous other charitable organizations. Married for 43 years to David Hatley, they have one son and one beautiful granddaughter, Amelia. Mayor Hatley's hobbies include exercising, water aerobics, piano, and playing with granddaughter Amelia.		Mayor Marilyn Hatley
