Some Basic Laws for Dogs in North Myrtle Beach

Dogs on Beach

When it comes to dogs in North Myrtle Beach, please remember these simple laws:

No person having the ownership, possession, or control of any dog shall allow their dog to run at large within the city. Any dog that is off the property of the person having ownership, possession, or control of any dog must be kept on a leash not exceeding seven (7) feet in length and under the control of the person having custody of the dog.

From May 15-September 15, dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9:00 am-5:00 pm daily.

The person in control of a dog when out in public must pick up and properly dispose of their pet's waste.
