NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The North Myrtle Beach City Council met in a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 7 p.m.
The items below were on the consent agenda:
A. RESOLUTION: To apply for a letter of intent in partnership with Horry County, the City of Conway, and the City of Myrtle Beach for a master plan to address the opioid epidemic (APPROVED)
B. MOTION TO APPOINT: An appointment to the Municipal Election Commission (APPROVED)
C. MOTION TO APPROVE: Coastal Adaptive Surf Project Wheel to Surf Event on October 7, 2023 (APPROVED)
There were two items on the unfinished business portion of the agenda:
A. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Request to rezone 1.07 acres on 24th Avenue North between Hilburn Street and Park Street from Highway Commercial (HC) to Mid-Rise Multifamily Residential (R-2A) (APPROVED)
B. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Amendment Chapter 7, Business License, Taxes, and Regulations, of the Code of Ordinances for North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina regarding Hospitality Fees (APPROVED)
One new business item was addressed:
ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: Petition for Annexation and Zoning Designation for + 0.59 acres on Cenith Drive (APPROVED)
