Deputy Chief Galganski began his Fire Service Career as a Volunteer Fighter in 1986 with the Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Department in East Brunswick New Jersey. From 1991 to 1995 he served the Department of Defense as a Firefighter at Fort Eustis, Virginia. In 1995, Chief Galganski went to work for the James City County Fire Department in Williamsburg, Virginia where he served as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Captain, Battalion Chief, Training Chief, and Special Operations Chief. Deputy Chief Galganski came to the City of North Myrtle Beach in June of 2023. Deputy Chief Galganski is a National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications Certified Fire Officer IV and Fire Instructor IV. He is a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic. Deputy Chief Galganski is a graduate of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program.
Education
Deputy Chief Galganski holds an Associate’s Degree in Emergency Medical Technology from Tidewater Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Public Administration and a Master’s of Science in Leadership with an Emphasis in Disaster Preparedness and Executive Fire Leadership both from Grand Canyon University.
