NMB Tree Board
The NMB Tree Board was established in 2005 to manage public trees, with special concern for heritage trees (24” diameter or greater), and advise the city in all tree-related matters. Since 2006, the city has been awarded the status of Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. The board remains very active in fulfilling the requirements of the Tree City USA program, by hosting an annual Arbor Day celebration, recognizing Earth Day, and holding various tree-related events throughout the year.

North Myrtle Beach’s Tree Board Tree Recognition
Do you know of a beautiful tree? Is it the biggest, prettiest, or most unusual tree in the City of North Myrtle Beach? Tell us about it, and it could be recognized as the "Tree of the Month."
Email North Myrtle Beach Tree Board for more information.
Public Tree Planting Donation Program
Honor or memorialize a loved one by contributing to the beauty and sustainability of our city through the Public Tree Planting Donation Program.
For a $150 contribution to the North Myrtle Beach Tree Bank, you can request a tree to be planted on public property. Once the tree is planted, the name of the honored individual will be added to a leaf on the Tree Mural located in the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center.
How it Works:
- Complete the Public Tree Planting/Donation Request Form.
- The Parks and Public Grounds team will select the best planting location for the tree.
- Once planted, their name will be added to a leaf on the Tree Mural.
This is a meaningful way to celebrate a loved one while enhancing the natural beauty of our community.
For more information or to pick up a form, call or visit the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center!
